Privacy information

This notice covers personal information handled when you visit the Peekpal website, sign up for launch updates or contact us.
Who is responsible?
Peekpal is a project of Farsight Technologies Limited, registered in Hong Kong. The company is responsible for the information described here. For privacy questions and requests, email hello@getpeekpal.com with the subject “Privacy”.

What we collect and why
- Launch updates: your email address is used to send Peekpal launch news, Kickstarter announcements and product updates. Our mailing service also processes subscription status and signup and consent records so we can manage the list and respect your choices.
- Contact messages: our hosted contact form collects your name, email address and message. We use these to respond and handle follow-up correspondence. The contact form and newsletter signup are separate; you do not need to subscribe to ask a question.
- Technical information: visiting the site or loading external form resources sends your IP address, browser information and requested resource to the servers providing them. Providers may process connection and security logs to deliver the service and prevent misuse.
Providing subscription or contact details is voluntary. You can browse without subscribing. We need an email address to send updates or reply by email. Please avoid including unnecessary sensitive information in messages.
Our reasons for processing
We rely on your consent to send marketing updates. You can withdraw it at any time. Where applicable law requires a lawful basis, we rely on our legitimate interests in answering enquiries and operating and securing the website for those activities, and on legal obligations where a law requires retention or disclosure.
Service providers and email measurement
We use MailerLite to manage subscriptions, send updates and host our contact form. The embedded signup loads MailerLite scripts and font resources, so your browser connects to its services before you submit the form. Contact submissions are also delivered to our email inbox.
MailerLite can process delivery and engagement information, including email opens and link clicks, depending on the email settings. Its hosted contact page may use cookies or similar technologies. See MailerLite’s privacy policy and cookie policy.
Providers delivering our website and email services also process information needed to operate those services. Information may be accessed by people handling enquiries and subscriptions on our behalf, or disclosed where required by law or necessary to protect legal rights.
International processing
Peekpal is operated by a Hong Kong company and its founder is based in Shenzhen, China, where enquiries and subscription information may be accessed. MailerLite states that its data storage centres are in the European Union; its providers and support operations may involve other countries. MailerLite describes its international-transfer arrangements in its data processing addendum.
How long information is kept
Subscription information is kept while you remain subscribed and the mailing list is active. Unsubscribing stops marketing messages but does not necessarily erase every record: limited opt-out and consent records may be retained to prevent unwanted messages and address compliance questions.
Contact correspondence is kept as long as needed to answer the enquiry and related follow-up. Retention depends on whether the matter is still open, whether there is an ongoing relationship, and whether legal requirements or a dispute require records to be kept. Technical logs follow the relevant provider’s security and operational retention practices. Contact us to request deletion or ask about a particular record.
Your choices and rights
Use the unsubscribe link in our marketing emails or email hello@getpeekpal.com to stop updates. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before withdrawal.
You can request access to or correction of your information. Depending on the law that applies, you may also have rights to deletion, restriction, portability or to object to processing. We may need to verify your identity before responding. If we cannot fulfil a request, we will explain why.
You can raise concerns with us or a relevant privacy authority, including Hong Kong’s Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data. Where EU or UK data protection law applies, you may also complain to the supervisory authority where you live or work.
